the wonderful turkey

Turkey

The turkey is the main food in thanksgiving.

They look like a peacock but shorter. the turkey dark colours will camouflage with its surroundings. It has feathers at his back and doesn't bite crush the food with his belly turkeys can weight up to 7.3 to 10 kg’s it's big as 100 – 120 cm

They eat more fresh buds, grasses, and similar plant material, while insects and berries are more popular in summer. They like these kinds of foods they don't have mouths so they crush their foods with something called a gizzard

Turkeys live in the USA and Canada. They live in forests, open grasslands. The largest game bird’s was found there

We know the turkey is yum but we must stop and let them live or else we will soon have no more turkey for thanksgiving

  1. Hi Liam
Thanks for sharing your information report on your blog - well done! I can see that you have written a title, have categorised your facts about the turkey into paragraphs and finished your report with a statement that makes the reader think. On that note, have you ever eaten turkey before? I only eat it on Christmas Day.
Could you please read over your report to make sure that it makes sense?
    Thank you

  2. Hi Liam
Lovely to hear from you. Well done on your blog on turkeys. It sounds like they adapt their diet to what is available in the wild in each season. What interesting fact did you learn that you did not previously know?
