- to teach the poor
- to help kids to have a good life if their school had a swimming trip
- to make them have fun
Sincerely yours, Liam

ReplyDeleteWell done for participating in the Summer Learning Journey activities! By the looks of it, you have been extremely busy keeping up with all of the tasks!
Just to make it easier for us here at the SLJ, would you be able to create a new blog post for each day of activities?
This will make it easier for us to both comment on your posts and add up your points from the activities. Here is an example of a post by another student.
who uses a new blog post for each activity.
Keep up the great work!
Nga mihi
Hi Liam, This is Mrs Grant from Manaiakalani. Well done, an awesome effort completing so many activities. To make it easier to comment on each of your activities I have split them into individual posts for you. From now on when you complete an activity could you please post each activity as a seperate post. This also helps with your participation points too.
ReplyDeletengā mihi nui,
Mrs Grant

ReplyDeleteWell done on writing such a wonderful letter to our Prime Minister, Jacinda Ardern. You have clearly stated what you want, and have included three fantastic reasons supporting your argument.
Free swimming lessons would be great for a number of reasons, but I particularly like your first idea of teaching the poor. It is so important for children to learn how to swim so that they feel safe and comfortable in the water, yet there are families out there who cannot afford to send their children to get these lessons.
Free swimming lessons could save the lives of many children who were never given the opportunity to learn how to swim.
Do you know how to swim? If so, did you take swimming lessons?
Swimming is such a fun activity to partake in and, like you mentioned in your second and third points, is an activity which allows kids to have fun. Free swimming lessons would ensure that everyone was having fun in the water, not just those who could afford to learn how to swim.
Are there any other reasons you can think of which would help convince Jacinda Ardern to supply free swimming lessons?
It would be awesome if you could reply to this comment and let me know!
Nga mihi
I did take swimming lessons
